In 2015, Awadhesh Kumar Singh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Birendra Singh of BJP by a margin of 12759 votes which was 7.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Virendra Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Awadhesh Kumar Singh of INC by a margin of 17766 votes which was 14.55% of the total votes polled for the seat.
