In 2014, Ramesh Bidhuri of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Col Devinder Sehrawat of AAP by a margin of 1,07,000 votes which was 9.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 45.17% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ramesh Kumar of INC won this seat beating Ramesh Bidhuri of BJP by a margin of 93,219 votes which was 12.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 49.26% in the seat.
