Eranakulam Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Ernakulam district in the Cochin region of Kerala: Ward No.26 of Kochi (M. Corporation) in Kochi Taluk; Cheranalloor Panchayat in Kanaynnur Taluk and Wards No.27 to 30, 32, 35 & 52 to 66 of Kochi (M. Corporation) in Kanaynnur Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 28 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Eranakulam is: 10°00'29.2"N 76°16'44.4"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, T J Vinod of INC won in this constituency beating Shaji George Pranatha of IND by a margin of 10970 votes which was 10.03% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Hibi Eden of INC was the winner in this seat beating M Anil Kumar of CPIM by a margin of 21949 votes which was 19.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Hibi Eden of INC won this seat defeating Dr. Sebastian Paul of IND by a margin of 32437 votes which was 33.34% of the total votes polled for the seat.
