Extent

Kaipamangalam Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Thrissur district in the Cochin region of Kerala: Edavilangu, Edathiruthy, Eriyad, Kaipamangalam, Mathilakam, Perinjanam and Sreenarayanapuram Panchayats in Kodungallor Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 96 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Kaipamangalam is: 10°17'21.8"N 76°09'08.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 76.69%, while it was 79.3% in 2016, and 77.39% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, E T Taison Master of CPI won in this constituency beating Sobha Subin of INC by a margin of 22698 votes which was 16.74% of the total votes cast. In 2016, E T Taison Master of CPI was the winner in this seat beating M T Muhammed Nahas of RSP by a margin of 33440 votes which was 24.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adv.V S Sunilkumar of CPI won this seat defeating Umesh Challiyil of JPSS by a margin of 13570 votes which was 11.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
