Koduvally Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Kozhikode district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Kizhakkoth, Koduvally, Madavoor, Narikkuni, Omassery and Thamarassery Panchayats in Kozhikode Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 181 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Koduvally is: 11°24'11.9"N 75°55'13.4"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 80.05%, while it was 81.89% in 2016, and 79.96% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Dr M K Muneer of IUML won in this constituency beating Karat Razack of IND by a margin of 6344 votes which was 4.2% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Karat Razack of IND was the winner in this seat beating M A Razak Master of IUML by a margin of 573 votes which was 0.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, V.M.Ummer Master of MUL won this seat defeating M.Mehaboob of CPIM by a margin of 16552 votes which was 14.54% of the total votes polled for the seat.
