In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan of INC won in this constituency beating Adv K Anilkumar of CPIM by a margin of 18743 votes which was 15.46% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan of INC was the winner in this seat beating Adv. Reji Sakhariya of CPIM by a margin of 33632 votes which was 26.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan of INC won this seat defeating V.N.Vasavan of CPIM by a margin of 711 votes which was 0.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
