Kunnamangalam Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Kozhikode district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Chathamangalam, Kunnamangalam, Mavoor, Olavanna, Perumanna and Peruvayal Panchayats in Kozhikode Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 150 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Kunnamangalam is: 11°16'33.2"N 75°54'04.0"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Adv P T A Rahim of IND won in this constituency beating Dinesh Perumanna of IND by a margin of 10276 votes which was 5.33% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Adv. P.T.A. Rahim 'E' of IND was the winner in this seat beating Adv.T. Siddiqu of INC by a margin of 11205 votes which was 6.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adv.P.T.A.Rahim of IND won this seat defeating U.C.Raman of IND by a margin of 3269 votes which was 2.18% of the total votes polled for the seat.
