Mankada Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Malappuram district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Angadippuram, Koottilangadi, Kuruva, Makkaraparamba, Mankada, Moorkkanad and Puzhakkattiri Panchayats in Perinthalmanna Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 191 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Mankada is: 10°59'35.5"N 76°08'48.1"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Manjalamkuzhi Ali of IUML won in this constituency beating Adv T K Rasheedali of CPIM by a margin of 6246 votes which was 3.73% of the total votes cast. In 2016, T A Ahammed Kabeer of IUML was the winner in this seat beating Adv. T K Rasheed Ali of CPIM by a margin of 1508 votes which was 1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, T.A.Ahmed Kabeer of MUL won this seat defeating Kadeeja Sathar of CPIM by a margin of 23593 votes which was 19.46% of the total votes polled for the seat.
