Nilambur Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Malappuram district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Amarambalam, Chungathara, Edakkara, Karulai, Moothedam, Nilambur, Pothukal and Vazhikkadavu Panchayats in Nilambur Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 926 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Nilambur is: 11°21'12.2"N 76°19'25.7"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, P V Anvar of IND won in this constituency beating Adv: V V Prakash of INC by a margin of 2700 votes which was 1.56% of the total votes cast. In 2016, P V Anvar of IND was the winner in this seat beating Aryadan Shoukath of INC by a margin of 11504 votes which was 7.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Aryadan Mohammed of INC won this seat defeating Professor.M.Thomas Mathew of IND by a margin of 5598 votes which was 4.11% of the total votes polled for the seat.
