The geographic coordinates of Banka Lok Sabha constituency are: 24°50'26.9"N 86°48'59.0"E. Banka shares its borders with five other Lok Sabha constituencies. Other Lok Sabha constituencies adjacent to Banka are: Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Munger, Jamui, Jharkhand: Godda. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Jharkhand.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Giridhari Yadav of JDU won in this seat defeating Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav of RJD by a margin of 2,00,532 votes which was 20.14% of the total votes cast for the seat. JDU had a vote share of 47.98% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav of RJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Putul Kumari of BJP by a margin of 10,144 votes which was 1.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. RJD secured a vote share of 31.73% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Digvijay Singh of IND won this seat beating Jai Prakesh Narain Yadav of RJD by a margin of 28,716 votes which was 4.4% of the total votes polled in the constituency. IND had a vote share of 28.48% in the seat.
