In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Dr Yogesh Pandagre of BJP won in this seat defeating Manoj Malve of INC by a margin of 19,197 which was 12.07% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.22% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Chaitram Manekar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bele Sunita of INC by a margin of 39,602 votes which was 28.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 55.38% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Chaitram Manekar of BJP won this seat beating Kishore Barde of INC by a margin of 30,546 votes which was 29.99% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.92% in the seat.

In the 2013 polls this constituency voted in Phase 1 on Monday, November 25, 2013 and the results were declared on Sunday, December 08, 2013. In 2008, Amla voted in Phase 1 on Thursday, November 27, 2008 and the results were declared on Monday, December 08, 2008.

Assembly constituency no.130. Amla comprises of the following areas of Betul district in the Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh: Amla Tehsil, 40 Pathakheda, 41 Bakud, 42 Sitakamth, 43 Salaiya and 44 Chhatarpur Patwari Circles of Ghoradongri – RI Circle of Betul Tehsil and Sarni (M) – Municipality.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 984 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Amla is: 21°59'38.0"N 78°14'01.3"E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh share borders with Amla constituency, which are: Junnardeo, Pandhurna, Multai, Betul, Ghodadongri. This constituency shares an inter-state border with no other state.
