In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Gaurishanker Chaturbhuj Bisen of BJP won in this seat defeating Anubha Munjare of SP by a margin of 27,654 which was 15.77% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 41.91% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Gourishankar Chaturbhuj Bisen of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Anubha Munjare of SP by a margin of 2,500 votes which was 1.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.24% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Gourishankar Chaturbhuj Bisen of BJP won this seat beating Ashok Singh Sarswar of INC by a margin of 11,376 votes which was 9.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 32.93% in the seat.
