In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr Dhal Singh Bisen of BJP won in this seat defeating Madhu Bhagat of INC by a margin of 2,42,066 votes which was 17.64% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.71% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Bodhsingh Bhagat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Hina Likhiram Kawre of INC by a margin of 96,041 votes which was 8.63% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 43.17% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, K D Deshmukh of BJP won this seat beating Vishveshwar Bhagat of INC by a margin of 40,819 votes which was 5.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 39.64% in the seat.
