The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Barwani are: Rajpur, Pansemal, Alirajpur, Kukshi, Manawar. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Nandurbar district of Maharashtra.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Premsingh of BJP won in this seat defeating Rajan Mandloi of IND by a margin of 38,787 which was 21.18% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 48.14% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ramesh Patel of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Premsingh Patel of BJP by a margin of 10,527 votes which was 6.25% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 46.17% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Premsingh Patel of BJP won this seat beating Engr Rajan Haresingh Mandloi of INC by a margin of 14,327 votes which was 13.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 46.08% in the seat.
