In 2013, Mahendra Kesharsingh Chouhan of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dharmusingh Sirsam of INC by a margin of 13,276 votes which was 8.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 48.28% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Dharmu Sing Sirsam of INC won this seat beating Chouhan Mahendra Sing of BJP by a margin of 6,384 votes which was 5.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 44.28% in the seat.

Bhainsdehi comprises of the following areas of Betul district in the Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh: Shahpur Tehsil, Chopana and Chicholi RI Circles of Betul Tehsil, 16 Chandbehda, 28 Gajpur, 29 Gohchi and 30 Sillot Patwari Circles of Khedi Sawaligharh RI Circle of Betul Tehsil, 31 Chikhali, 32 Padar Bujurg, 33 Nimpani, 34 Dolidhana, 35 Kanhawadi, 36 Ratamati, 45 Ghodadongri, 46 Juwadi, 47 Ranipur and 48 Chikhaliamdhana Patwari Circles of Ghoradongri RI Circle of Betul Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 3,001 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Bhainsdehi is: 21°41'22.6"N 77°34'48.4"E.
