Location

The geographic coordinates of Bichhiya is: 22°31'17.4"N 80°42'41.4"E. Bichhiya shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Bichhiya are: Shahpura, Dindori, Niwas, Mandla, Baihar, Paraswada. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Narayan Singh Patta of INC won in this seat defeating Dr Shivraj Shah 'Shiva Bhaiya' of BJP by a margin of 21,388 which was 11.43% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 40.91% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Pandit Singh Dhurwey of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Narayan Singh Patta of INC by a margin of 18,316 votes which was 10.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 39.33% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Narayan Singh Patta of INC won this seat beating Pandit Singh Dhurwey of BJP by a margin of 5,170 votes which was 3.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 33.99% in the seat.
