Location

The geographic coordinates of Chanderi is: 24°46'08.4"N 77°46'51.6"E. Chanderi shares its borders with five other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Chanderi are: Pichhore, Kolaras, Bamori, Ashok Nagar, Mungaoli. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Gopal Singh Chauhan (Daggi Raja) of INC won in this seat defeating Bhupendra Dwivedi of BJP by a margin of 4,175 which was 3.18% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 34.33% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Gopal Singh Chauhan Daggi Raja of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Rao Rajkumar Singh Yadav of BJP by a margin of 30,318 votes which was 24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 58.17% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Rao Rajkumar Singh Mahuan of BJP won this seat beating Gopal Singh Chauhan (Daggi Raja) of INC by a margin of 4,548 votes which was 4.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 35.46% in the seat.
