The geographic coordinates of Dhouhani is: 24°03'16.9"N 81°52'10.6"E. Dhouhani shares its borders with five other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Dhouhani are: Churhat, Sidhi, Sihawal, Devsar, Beohari. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Kunwar Singh Tekam of BJP won in this seat defeating Kamlesh Singh of INC by a margin of 3,793 which was 2.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 35.85% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Kunwar Singh Tekam of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Tilakraj Singh Uike of INC by a margin of 19,001 votes which was 13.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 42.45% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Kunwar Singh Tekam of BJP won this seat beating Tilak Raj Singh of INC by a margin of 38,120 votes which was 34.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 54.58% in the seat.
