In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Omkar Singh Markam of INC won in this seat defeating Jay Singh Maravi of BJP by a margin of 32,050 which was 17.26% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.8% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Omkar Singh Markam of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Jay Singh Maravi of BJP by a margin of 6,388 votes which was 3.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 43.84% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Omkar Singh Markam of INC won this seat beating Omprakash Dhurve of BJP by a margin of 32,840 votes which was 23.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 49.41% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.104. Dindori comprises of the following areas of Dindori district in the Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh: Dindori, Samnapur, Bajag and Karanjia RI Circles of Dindori Tehsil and Dindori (Nagar Panchayat) NPT.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 2,755 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Dindori is: 22°42'09.0"N 81°17'30.8"E.

A total of three Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh share borders with Dindori constituency, which are: Pusprajgarh, Shahpura, Bichhiya. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Kabirdham and Mungeli districts of Chhattisgarh.
