In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Nagendra Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Kapidhwaj Singh 'Bhaiya' of SP by a margin of 7,828 which was 5.29% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 28.77% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Sundar Lal Tiwari of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Nagendra Singh of BJP by a margin of 1,382 votes which was 1.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 25.33% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Nagendra Singh of BJP won this seat beating Rajendra Mishra of INC by a margin of 11,378 votes which was 11.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 32.7% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.75. Gurh comprises of the following areas of Rewa district in the Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh: Gurh Tehsil, Govindgarh RI Circle of Huzur Tehsil, Govindgarh (NPT) NPT and Raipur (K) RI Circle of Raipur Karchuliyan Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 804 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Gurh is: 24°29'00.2"N 81°25'02.6"E.
