Location

The geographic coordinates of Indore-1 is: 22°44'35.9"N 75°51'40.0"E. Indore-1 shares its borders with four other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Indore-1 are: Depalpur, Indore-2, Indore-3, Indore-4. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sanjay Shukla of INC won in this seat defeating Sudarshan Gupta of BJP by a margin of 8,163 which was 3.58% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 50.24% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Arya Sudarshan Gupta of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kamlesh Khandelwal of IND by a margin of 54,176 votes which was 28.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 52.33% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Sudarshan Gupta of BJP won this seat beating Sanjay Shukla of INC by a margin of 8,183 votes which was 6.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 51.18% in the seat.
