In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Ramesh Mendola of BJP won in this seat defeating Advocate Mohan Singh Sengar of INC by a margin of 71,011 which was 32.71% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 63.94% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ramesh Mendola of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Chhotu Shukla of INC by a margin of 91,017 votes which was 48.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 71.6% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ramesh Mendola of BJP won this seat beating Suresh -Seth of INC by a margin of 39,937 votes which was 33.47% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 63.13% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.205. Indore-2 comprises of the following areas of Indore district in the Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh: Ward Nos 7 to 8, 10 to 16 and 32 to 33 of Indore (Municipal Corporation and Out Growth) of Indore Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 20 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Indore-2 is: 22°46'35.0"N 75°52'56.6"E.
