In 2013, Pratap Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dashrath Singh Lodhi Dassu Bhaiya of BJP by a margin of 11,896 votes which was 7.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.71% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Ratnesh Saloman of INC won this seat beating Dashrath Singh Lodhi (Dassu Bhaiya) of BJP by a margin of 1,762 votes which was 1.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 34.04% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 2,635 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Jabera is: 23°29'38.8"N 79°33'47.2"E.
