In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sunil Uikey of INC won in this seat defeating Ashish Thakur of BJP by a margin of 22,688 which was 13.2% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.7% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Nathan Shah Kevreti of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Sunil Uikey of INC by a margin of 20,121 votes which was 12.93% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 47.77% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Tejilal Saryam of INC won this seat beating Nathan Shah Kavreti of BJP by a margin of 194 votes which was 0.17% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 39.48% in the seat.
