In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Raghuraj Singh Kansana of INC won in this seat defeating Rustam Singh of BJP by a margin of 20,849 which was 13.79% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.62% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Rustam Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ramprakash of BSP by a margin of 1,704 votes which was 1.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 40.24% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Paras Ram Mudgal of BSP won this seat beating Sobran Singh Mavai of INC by a margin of 5,336 votes which was 5.25% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 38.63% in the seat.
