In 2013, Sohanlal Valmik of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Tarachand Bavariya of BJP by a margin of 6,862 votes which was 4.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.15% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Tarachand Bawaria of BJP won this seat beating Sohanlal Valmik of INC by a margin of 93 votes which was 0.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.14% in the seat.
