Location

The geographic coordinates of Satna is: 24°35'04.2"N 80°52'31.8"E. Satna shares its borders with four other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Satna are: Chitrakoot, Raigaon, Nagod, Rampur Baghelan. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Dabbu Siddharth Sukhlal Kushwaha of INC won in this seat defeating Shankarlal Tiwari of BJP by a margin of 12,558 which was 7.78% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 37.24% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Shankarlal Tiwari of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajaram Tripathi of INC by a margin of 15,332 votes which was 11.35% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 41.59% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Shankar Lal Tiwari of BJP won this seat beating Sayeed Ahmad of INC by a margin of 10,800 votes which was 10.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 38.45% in the seat.
