In 2013, Nanabhau Mohod of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bhagvat Mahajan of INC by a margin of 8,416 votes which was 5.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 46.5% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Nana Mohod of BJP won this seat beating Yuvraj Jichakar of INC by a margin of 2,880 votes which was 2.58% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 38.53% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.125. Sausar comprises of the following areas of Chhindwara district in the Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh: Saunsar Tehsil and Ekabehari RI Circle of Chhindwara Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,181 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sausar is: 21°44'11.4"N 78°50'34.8"E.
