Location

The geographic coordinates of Sironj is: 24°06'40.0"N 77°31'19.2"E. Sironj shares its borders with seven other Assembly constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The other Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies adjacent to Sironj are: Chachoda, Raghogarh, Ashok Nagar, Mungaoli, Kurwai, Shamshabad, Berasia. This constituency shares an inter-state border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Umakant Sharma of BJP won in this seat defeating Masarrat Shahid of INC by a margin of 34,734 which was 22.85% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 55% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Govardhan Lal of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Laxmikant of BJP by a margin of 1,584 votes which was 1.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.94% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Laxmi Kant Sharma of BJP won this seat beating Bundel Singh Yadav of INC by a margin of 9,734 votes which was 10.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 46.23% in the seat.
