In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Sanjay Sharma 'Sanju Bhaiya' of INC won in this seat defeating Vishwanath Singh 'Mulam Bhaiya' of BJP by a margin of 8,643 which was 6.13% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 49.71% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Sanjay Sharma of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Surendra Dhimole of INC by a margin of 44,602 votes which was 34.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 64.11% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Rao-Uday Pratap Singh of INC won this seat beating Sanjay Sharma of BJP by a margin of 6,625 votes which was 6.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 42.4% in the seat.

Tendukheda comprises of the following areas of Narsinghpur district in the Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh: Tendukheda Tehsil, Sihora RI Circle of Gadarwara Tehsil, 1 Bhatera, 2 Narwara, 3 Kathotiya, 4 Ggaghrola Kala, 5 Bhorjhir, 6 Karhaiya, 7 Nayagaon, 8 Sadumar, 9 Lilwani, 10 Atthaisa, 11 Paloha, 12 Bagdara, 13 Chirahkala, 14 Kodiya, 15 Chirriya and 16 Bohani Patwari Circles of Gadarwara – RI Circle of Gadarwara Tehsil.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,198 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Tendukheda is: 23°07'26.4"N 78°53'16.8"E.
