In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Paras Jain of BJP won in this seat defeating Mhanat Rajendra Bharti of INC by a margin of 25,724 which was 17.47% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.49% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Paraschandra Jain of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Vivek Jagdish Yadav of INC by a margin of 24,849 votes which was 19.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 57.72% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Paras Jain of BJP won this seat beating Dr Batukshankar Joshi of INC by a margin of 21,912 votes which was 23.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 54.11% in the seat.
