In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Dr K Beichhua of MNF won in this seat defeating S Hiato of INC by a margin of 2,468 which was 15.16% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 49.82% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Dr K Beichhua of MNF emerged victorious in this seat beating S Hiato of INC by a margin of 222 votes which was 1.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 49.62% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, S Hiato of INC won this seat beating H C Lalmalsawma Zasai of MNF by a margin of 103 votes which was 0.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 36.94% in the seat.

In the 2013 polls this constituency voted in Phase 1 on Wednesday, December 04, 2013 and the results were declared on Sunday, December 08, 2013. In 2008, Siaha voted in Phase 1 on Tuesday, December 02, 2008 and the results were declared on Monday, December 08, 2008.

Assembly constituency no.39. Siaha comprises of the following areas of Siaha district in the South region of Mizoram: Villages Phalhrang, Rawmibawk (Amotla), Tuisumpui, Riasikah, Tuipui Ferry, Niawhtlang, lungbun, Chhuarlung, Phusa, Saihatlangkawn, New Saiha, College Veng, New Colony, Council Veng, old Saiha, meisaveng, meisatla and Thingsen Veng in Tuipang R D Block.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 243 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Siaha is: 22°31'04.8"N 93°01'51.2"E.

A total of three Assembly constituencies in the state of Mizoram share borders with Siaha constituency, which are: Lawngtlai West, Lawngtlai East, Palak. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with Myanmar.

According to Election Commission of India data, in the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this seat was 74.92%. In 2018 this seat registered a turnout of 77.75%, while it was 80.73% in 2013 and 78.84% in 2008. The estimated turnout in 2023 was -2.83% compared to the 2018 turnout.
