In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Pradipta Kumar Naik of BJP won in this constituency beating Dusmanta Naik of BJD by a margin of 4,684 votes which was 2.85% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Anam Naik of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Dusmanta Naik of INC by a margin of 10,814 votes which was 7.25% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dusmanta Naik of INC won this seat defeating Pradipta Kumar Naik of BJP by a margin of 2,195 votes which was 1.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
