The 2024 Lok Sabha election in Odisha takes place in four phases on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. There are a total of 21 seats allocated in the lower house of the Parliament for the state, of which 5 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 3 for Scheduled Castes. Close to 3.33 crore voters are eligible to participate in the state's general election. The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) continues to maintain a stronghold over the state's political landscape. In 2014, the BJD won 20 out of the 21 seats. In 2019, despite facing a tougher challenge from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the BJD managed to secure 12 seats.
