Nettapakkam Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Pondicherry district in the Pondicherry region of Puducherry: Nettapakkam Commune Panchayat (Part)- Madukkarai, Kariamanickam, Eripakkam, Pandasozhanur and Nettapakkam, Bahour Commune Panchayat (Part)- Panayadikuppam, Karaiyambuthur and Manamedu

This constituency covers an approximate area of 26 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Nettapakkam is: 11°52'09.1"N 79°37'53.0"E.

Voter turnout

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 85.77%, while it was 88.61% in 2016, and 90.16% in 2011.

In the 2021 Puducherry Assembly elections, P Rajavelu of AINRC won in this constituency beating V Vizeaveny of INC by a margin of 6638 votes which was 23.84% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Vizeaveny, V. of INC was the winner in this seat beating Rajavelu, P. of AINRC by a margin of 1468 votes which was 5.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, L. Periyasamy of AIADMK won this seat defeating S. Muthukumarasamy of INC by a margin of 5467 votes which was 22.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
