In 2013, Vishvendra Singh of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Digamber Singh of BJP by a margin of 11,162 votes which was 7.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.99% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Dr Digamber Singh of BJP won this seat beating Vishvendra Singh of INC by a margin of 3,524 votes which was 2.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 43.98% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.72. Deeg-Kumher comprises of the following areas of Bharatpur district in the Matsya region of Rajasthan: Tehsil Kumher, Tehsil Deeg (Partly) – (I) IlRC Deeg including Municipal Board Deeg (II) IlRC Kasot (III) IlRC Baroli Chauth (IV) IlRC Sinsini.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 679 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Deeg-Kumher is: 27°20'41.6"N 77°21'59.0"E.

A total of three Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan share borders with Deeg-Kumher constituency, which are: Nagar, Nadbai, Bharatpur. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.
