The geographic coordinates of Pratapgarh is: 23°52'59.9"N 74°47'59.3"E. Pratapgarh shares its borders with three other Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan. The other Rajasthan Assembly constituencies adjacent to Pratapgarh are: Bari Sadri, Ghatol, Banswara. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with: Mandsaur and Ratlam districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Election results

In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Ramlal of INC won in this seat defeating Hemant of BJP by a margin of 16,680 which was 8.57% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 51.69% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Nandlal Meena of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Veluram Meena of INC by a margin of 31,938 votes which was 19.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 49.21% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Nandlal of BJP won this seat beating Bhadurlal of INC by a margin of 13,819 votes which was 10.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.97% in the seat.
