In 2013, Suresh Singh Rawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Naseem Akhtar Insaf of INC by a margin of 41,290 votes which was 27.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 59.82% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Naseem Akhtar Insaf of INC won this seat beating Bhanwar Singh Palara of BJP by a margin of 6,534 votes which was 5.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.47% in the seat.

Assembly constituency no.99. Pushkar comprises of the following areas of Ajmer district in the Central region of Rajasthan: Tehsil Ajmer excluding area of Municipal Council Ajmer and IlRC Ajmer – III, Tehsil Kishangarh (Partly) – (I) IlRC Karkeri (II) IlRC Kotri (III) IlRC Roopangarh.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,167 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Pushkar is: 26°35'52.8"N 74°42'41.0"E.
