Location

The geographic coordinates of Sikar is: 27°40'21.0"N 75°14'29.4"E. Sikar shares its borders with six other Assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan. The other Rajasthan Assembly constituencies adjacent to Sikar are: Dhod, Lachhmangarh, Nawalgarh, Udaipurwati, Khandela, Dantaramgarh. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with: no other state.

Election results

In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Rajendra Pareek of INC won in this seat defeating Ratanlal Jaldhari of BJP by a margin of 15,180 which was 7.98% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 43.86% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Ratan Lal Jaldhari of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajendra Pareek of INC by a margin of 13,015 votes which was 8.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.24% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Rajendra Pareek of INC won this seat beating Mahesh Sharma of BJP by a margin of 7,766 votes which was 6.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 38.87% in the seat.
