In 2013, Ratan Lal Jaldhari of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajendra Pareek of INC by a margin of 13,015 votes which was 8.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 37.24% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Rajendra Pareek of INC won this seat beating Mahesh Sharma of BJP by a margin of 7,766 votes which was 6.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 38.87% in the seat.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 545 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sikar is: 27°40'21.0"N 75°14'29.4"E.
