Kinathukadavu Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Coimbatore district in the West region of Tamil Nadu: Coimbatore South Taluk (Part) Madampatti, Theethipalayam, Perur Chettipalayam Mavuthampathi, Pichanur, Palathurai, Thambagoundenpalayam, Karunchamigoundenpalayam, Seerappalayam, Malamachampatti, Myleripalayam, Nachippalayam, Arasipalayam and Valukkupparai villages. Kurichi (TP), Vellalur (TP), Madukkarai (TP), Ettimadai (TP), Thirumalayampalayam (TP), Othakalmandapam (TP) and Chettipalayam (TP). Pollachi Taluk (Part) Solavampalayam, Vadaputhur, Kuthiraialampalayam, Pottaiyandiporambu, Sokkanur, Sangarayapuram, Muthur and Kodangipalayam villages. Kinathukadavu (TP).

This constituency covers an approximate area of 427 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Kinathukadavu is: 10°52'51.2"N 76°56'53.5"E.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Damodaran S of AIADMK won in this constituency beating Kuruchi Prabhakaran of DMK by a margin of 1095 votes which was 0.48% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Shanmugam, A. of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Kurichi Prabhakaran of DMK by a margin of 1332 votes which was 0.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Damodaran S of AIADMK won this seat defeating M.Kannappan of DMK by a margin of 30266 votes which was 18.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
