Maduravoyal Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Thiruvallur district in the North region of Tamil Nadu: Ambattur Taluk (Part) Ayappakkam, Nolambur, Adayalampattu and Vanagaram villages. Ambattur (M) (Part) Ambattur (M) - Ward No. 35, 36 and 52. Nerkundram (CT), Maduravoyal (TP), Valasaravakkam (TP), Karambakkam (CT), Porur (TP) and Ramapuram (CT).

This constituency covers an approximate area of 38 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Maduravoyal is: 13°03'51.8"N 80°09'10.8"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 60.3%, while it was 61.84% in 2016, and 69% in 2011.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Ganapathy K of DMK won in this constituency beating Benjamin P of AIADMK by a margin of 31721 votes which was 11.67% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Benjamin P of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Rajesh R of INC by a margin of 8402 votes which was 3.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Beem Rao. G of CPIM won this seat defeating Selvam K of PMK by a margin of 24011 votes which was 12.91% of the total votes polled for the seat.
