In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Rajaa T R B of DMK won in this constituency beating Rajamanickam Siva of AIADMK by a margin of 37393 votes which was 19.45% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rajaa.T.R.B of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Kamaraj. S of AIADMK by a margin of 9937 votes which was 5.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rajaa, T.R.B. of DMK won this seat defeating Rajamanickam,Siva. of AIADMK by a margin of 3982 votes which was 2.4% of the total votes polled for the seat.
