Kallipalayam, Elavanthi, Kethanur, Vavipalayam and V. Vadamalaipalayam villages Andipalayam (CT), Mangalam (CT), Muruganpalayam (CT) and Veerapandi (CT) Palladam Taluk (Part) Poomalur, Velampalayam, Naranapuram, Karaipudur, Ganapathipalayam, Palladam, Sukkampalayam, Ichipatti, Kodangipalayam, Panickkampatti, Vadugapalayam, Chittambalam, Anuppatti, Kasba Ayyampalayam, Karadibavi, Paruvai, Mallegoundenpalayam, Puliampatti and K.Krishnapuram villages. This constituency covers an approximate area of 733 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Palladam is: 10°59'26.5"N 77°19'24.2"E.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Anandan M S M of AIADMK won in this constituency beating Muthurathinam K of DMK by a margin of 32691 votes which was 12.59% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Natarajan. A of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Krishnamoorthy. S of DMK by a margin of 32174 votes which was 13.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Paramasivam.K.P of AIADMK won this seat defeating Balasubramanian.K of KNMK by a margin of 69776 votes which was 39.44% of the total votes polled for the seat.
