Extent

Sivakasi Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Virdhunagar district in the South region of Tamil Nadu: Sivakasi Taluk (Part) Injar, Thiruthangal, Anaiyur, Maraneri, Duraiswamipuram, Namaskarittanpatti, Vadapatti, Krishnaperi, Naranapuram and Vendurayapuram villages. Thiruthangal (TP), Pallapatti (CT), Naranapuram (CT), Viswanatham (CT), Sithurajapuram (CT), Sivakasi (M) and Anaiyur (CT).

This constituency covers an approximate area of 179 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sivakasi is: 9°27'44.3"N 77°45'59.0"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 70.16%, while it was 73.98% in 2016, and 81.07% in 2011.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Ashokan G of INC won in this constituency beating Lakshmi Ganesan of AIADMK by a margin of 17319 votes which was 9.45% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rajenthrabhalaji K.T of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Sreeraja, C. of INC by a margin of 14748 votes which was 8.39% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rajenthra Bhalaji.K.T of AIADMK won this seat defeating Vanaraja .T of DMK by a margin of 35334 votes which was 24.11% of the total votes polled for the seat.
