Tiruppur (North) Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Tiruppur district in the West region of Tamil Nadu: Tiruppur Taluk (Part) Pattampalayam, Sokkanur, Merkupathi, Thoravalur, Vallipuram, Perumanallur, Ettiveerampalayam, Pongupalayam, Kanakkampalayam, Kalipalayam and Mannarai villages. Chettipalayam (CT), Neripperichal (CT), Thottipalayam (CT) and Velampalayam (TP). Tiruppur (M) Ward Nos.1 to 20.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 141 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Tiruppur (North) is: 11°12'02.2"N 77°21'11.2"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 62.44%, while it was 66.8% in 2016, and 74.39% in 2011.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijeyakumar K N of AIADMK won in this constituency beating Ravi alias Subramanian M of CPI by a margin of 40102 votes which was 17% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Vijayakumar Kn of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Saminathan M P of DMK by a margin of 37774 votes which was 17.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Anandan.M.S.M of AIADMK won this seat defeating Govindasamy. C of DMK by a margin of 73271 votes which was 45.54% of the total votes polled for the seat.
