Tiruvadanai Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Ramanathapuram district in the South region of Tamil Nadu: Tiruvadanai Taluk Ramanathapuram Taluk (Part) Pandamangalam, Andichiendal, Vennathur, Pathanendal, Naranamangalam, Alamanenthal, Devipattinam, Peruvayal, Kumariyendal, Kavanur, Karendal, Pullangudi, Chitharkottai, Athiyuthu, Palangulam, Toruvalur, Vannivayal, Surankottai, Pattinamkattan, Thiruvolhiyakalugoorani, Therbogi, Alagankulam, Sakkarakottai, Kooriyur, Achundhanvayal, Landai, Panaikkulam, Malangudi and Ekkakudi villages.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1137 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Tiruvadanai is: 9°39'14.8"N 78°54'10.1"E.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Karumanickam of INC won in this constituency beating K C Animuthu of AIADMK by a margin of 13852 votes which was 6.89% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Karunaas of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Thivakaran. S.P of DMK by a margin of 8696 votes which was 4.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Thangavelan Suba of DMK won this seat defeating Mujupur Rahman S of DMDK by a margin of 927 votes which was 0.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
