Vasudevanallur Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Tirunelveli district in the South region of Tamil Nadu: Sivagiri Taluk Sankarankovil Taluk (Part) Perumalpatti, Valavandapuram, Pandappuli, Paruvakkudi, Panaiyur, Periyur, Kuvalaikkanni, Karivalamvandanallur Vayali, Manalur, Perumpathur, Vadikkottai, Veeriruppu, Vadakkupudur, Nochikulam, Punnaivanam, Madathupatti, Ariyanayagipuram, Veerasigamani, Kilveerasigamani, Poigai and Rengasamudram villages

This constituency covers an approximate area of 759 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Vasudevanallur is: 9°14'49.9"N 77°26'21.1"E.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Sadhan Thirumalaikumar Doctor T of DMK won in this constituency beating Manoharan A of AIADMK by a margin of 2367 votes which was 1.36% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Manoharan A of AIADMK was the winner in this seat beating Anbalagan S of PT by a margin of 18758 votes which was 11.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dr.Duraiappa.S.,Mbbs., of AIADMK won this seat defeating Ganesan.S of INC by a margin of 28090 votes which was 19.78% of the total votes polled for the seat.
