This constituency covers an approximate area of 1073 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Veppanahalli is: 12°39'38.2"N 78°03'53.3"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 81.31%, while it was 84.74% in 2016, and 85.36% in 2011.

Victory margin

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, K P Munusamy of AIADMK won in this constituency beating P Murugan of DMK by a margin of 3054 votes which was 1.5% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Murugan P of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Madhu A.V.M @ Hemnath M of AIADMK by a margin of 5228 votes which was 2.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, T.Senguttuvan of DMK won this seat defeating Kandan @ Murugesan.S.M of DMDK by a margin of 7604 votes which was 4.8% of the total votes polled for the seat.
