In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Uttam Kumar Reddy Nalamada of INC won in this seat defeating Sanampudi Saidi Reddy of TRS by a margin of 7,466 which was 3.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 47.82% in 2018 in this seat.
