In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Patnam Narender Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Anumula Revanth Reddy of INC by a margin of 9,319 which was 5.63% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 48.78% in 2018 in this seat.
